Michael’s professional career started in the political arena in 1988.
As soon as Governor Michael Dukakis announced his intention to run for President of the United States, Michael immediately jumped on board. He wanted to make a difference. Over 25 campaigns later, disenfranchised and receiving an offer to work in corporate marketing, Michael walked away from politics. Fortunately, the desire to help others was never fully extinguished.
Nowadays, Michael focuses on his two professional projects.
Michael is the founder of Something to Say Communications, an advertising agency based in the Finger Lakes region of New York. He is the executive producer and managing director of all client relationships and projects. He focuses primarily on healthcare, technology, and small business. S2SComm’s methodology targets the keys to smart marketing techniques: who is your customer, what is your message and what is the best way to deliver your message.
Michael’s career in advertising and marketing (primarily healthcare and pharmaceutical) serves as a segue way for him to start the conversation on health and social issues for both non-profit and for-profit organizations.d.
In addition, Michael openly shares the need to increase diabetes and heart health awareness through his other company, A1C Wellness. Michael is a type 2 (T2) diabetic, a survivor of open heart surgery (heart valve and triple bypass due to diabetes) and lives with diabetes-induced coronary artery disease every day. He has launched the website A1CWellness.com, which serves as a portal for primarily diabetics, partners and caregivers. Michael serves as a writer and speaker who presents topics from the patient perspective.
